Bar & Bat Mitzvah of Remembrance

We engage 11-13 year olds in an educational program that links current B'nai Mitzvah students to child victims of the Holocaust who never came of age through a Holocaust survivor mentor.

Students are required to register 6 months before their Bat/Bar Mitzvah.

All students visit the Sarah and Chaim Neuberger Holocaust Education Centre for a 2-hour session including an audio-visual presentation and a meeting with a survivor speaker.

With the assistance of the Centre, students research the historical background of the twin and write a short biography. This biography is included in the student's Bar/Bat Mitzvah Programme.
